Tiles on the floor of public baths, tennis rackets, sky scenery seen from screen doors etc.

Kyoto likewise has a lot of checks.

Fusuma of Katsura Rikyu and garden of Tofukuji, stone pavement of Hanami street etc.

There is also a check in the "old" townscape.Looking down Kyoto from directly above,

I find that there is the largest check there.

As people live, the eyes of the go board, which has been built up, It became representative of the city of Kyoto.

The check is fashion.

It expresses life itself, and it exists in the side.

身の回りの風景の中に、checkを探してみる。

銭湯の床のタイルや、テニスのラケット、網戸からみた空の景色など

普段の風景に少し目を凝らすとそこにはたくさんのチェック柄が存在した。

京都も同様に、たくさんのチェックを持っている。

桂離宮の襖や東福寺の庭、花見小路の石畳など「古い」街並みにもやはりチェックがある。

京都を真上から見下ろすと、そこには最大規模のチェックがあると気づく。

人々が生活をする中で作り上げられてきた碁盤の目は、現在京の街を代表するものになった。

チェックはファッションだ。

生活そのものを表し、そばにいる存在だ。

碁盤の目を元に、check柄を作り、ファッションアイテムにしたブランド。

京都でしか生まれない、本当の“made in kyoto” を。

「可愛い」が日々更新されていく世の中に

流されないものを作りたい。
